Thanks for the kind words. I took this shot on a bridge that goes across Buffalo Bayou. One side of the bridge is right behind the Hobby Center Parking Garage, and the other side of the bridge is on the hike/bike trail that goes along the Bayou. I hope this helps. Good luck with your photography.

Dave, please feel free to forward me any other questions you have while choosing a DSLR. My future blog posts will discuss the topics of DSLR brands, types of lenses, what level of DSLR to buy. I would appreciate any feedback in the form of questions to help me write these posts. =)

I was hoping to an article like this. It addresses most of my questions. The only remaining concern for me is weight and bulk. At least I'm clearer on the decision now.

Good advice, Dave! Try not to sacrifice quality for quantity. These days memory is so cheap that you can carry around several gigs with you easily.

I thought this was going to be something I'd never heard of about wiping memory cards with alcohol or something. :)

Yeah, someone I know has been caught with full memory cards because of never emptying them after copying onto the computer. There's a regular ritual of gradually lowering the resolution of the camera to try and get a few more pictures.

Also, when going on vacation, buy more memory cards than you think you'll need. We ran out on the last day of our vacation, in the opera house in Buenos Aires.

Removing your drawing from the frame would be the best to eliminate any glare from the glass. However, you can certainly try it leaving it in the frame. The beauty of digital prints is that trials are fast and easy. If the drawing is smaller than 8" x 10", I would recommend scanning as the best option to optimize quality. Feel free to contact me to discuss this further.
